Some places are merely houses; others are homes the moment you step through the door. Sturgis Inn is the latter a house with a soul, thick walls that have heard a century’s worth of laughter and sorrow, and a history that lingers like the scent of morning coffee on old wood. Our family found refuge here at a time when we needed it most. Thanks to this home’s generous heart, its many rooms and its guest cabins, we were able to gather together, to hold hands, to whisper our final ‘I love yous’ to someone we cherished. It’s a rare gift, to have a place that allows both joy and grief to exist in harmony, wrapped in the warm embrace of history and hospitality. To those who keep this house standing, who preserve its past and open its doors for strangers to become family, we thank you. You gave us more than a place to stay. You gave us a place to say goodbye with love.

Our family of 10 celebrated Thanksgiving here and had the perfect little getaway. The house had everything we needed. The yard was good for our 2 pups, we enjoyed the fit pits, played games with some that were provided, and the table was decorated for fall, perfect setting for our thanking meal. It’s walking distance to many restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. We made some wonderful memories here and would absolutely stay here again with a big group.

The house was very well furnished and had plenty of comfortable seating for my friends and I to relax and enjoy being together. The beds are very comfortable, air conditioning kept all 3 floors nice and cool and the location just couldn’t be beat.

Located in the heart of the city, this place was perfect for our family weekend with our Baylor bear. Communication was seamless! This historic house surpassed our expectations. The host has done an incredible job preserving its character. I was taken aback by the breathtaking views from all the balconies. The host provided a gracious treat of cupcakes from The Silo Bakery and booked our amazing dinner at The Brasserie!!

We were thrilled to stay in the Sturgis Inn for my daughters graduation from Baylor. It was exactly as described and even better! The house is so charming, and it was so much fun to stay in such a historical gem! The beds were super comfortable and there were plenty of room configurations to meet our guest’s needs. The house was completely stocked with everything you could possibly need. The icemaker was a huge help, as well as coffee machines, crock pot and basic condiments in the house. We grilled, played chess, and spent tons of time on the porch. It was the best time! Thank you so much for being such great hosts!

This has been the best AirBNB that I’ve ever stayed at and we are looking for our next chance to return. It’s a beautiful property to make holiday memories! We were able to enjoy a pleasant holiday together while still having our own spaces to decompress. Will be recommending to all my friends!

We loved our stay! The home was clean and had so much character. We loved the backyard and spent a lot of time on the deck out back. Little things like hair dryers and Q tips in each bathroom made it really convenient. The welcome cupcakes were definitely a hit!

We loved our stay at the Sturgis Inn! The property had so much character, as a historic house built in the late 1800s. We loved the ample living space, with many different gathering rooms and quaint bedrooms and bathrooms. There was an amazing wraparound porch, where we spent a lot of our time. We had many relatives in town for a graduation, and the Sturgis Inn was a perfect spot for us all to stay. We will always have fond memories.
